A triathlon normally involves biking, swimming, and
cycling. But at the Meek and Mighty Triathlon in St. Petersburg,
Fla., participant Teresa McCoy took part in an extra surprise
event: CPR.
Before the race began, McCoy, who works as a nurse at Tampa
General Hospital's cardiac lab, had talked briefly with a
fellow runner. As she was finishing the cycling part of the
triathlon, she spotted him again—lying on the ground.
Two police officers were already surrounding him, but they
weren't sure what to do. Luckily, McCoy was.
